June 28th, 2025: Celebration of Stivor’s Patron Saint and Promotion of the Community’s Culture

14.06.2025.

On Saturday, June 28th, 2025, Stivor will host the celebration of the village’s patron saint, St. John the Baptist.

The program will begin at 6:00 PM with a Holy Mass at the church in Stivor, followed by a cultural evening featuring live music and a presentation of the national cuisine, with gastronomic specialties such as Tonco de Pontesei and polenta e spezzatino. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy Italian wine and Žnjapa, the traditional local grappa of Stivor.

What will make the evening truly special is the chance to connect with community members and experience the authentic Stivor dialect — a treasured part of the local cultural heritage, also promoted through the Stivorling language archive.
