The Project

StivorLing – The Language Archive of Stivor is a documentation project of the rich linguistic heritage of Štivor, a small village in the municipality of Prnjavor, inhabited by the Italian national minority.

The project collects audio and visual linguistic materials with the aim of making Štivor’s linguistic heritage accessible to new generations of Štivor residents, the large diaspora, as well as researchers and the academic community.

The project is supported by the Association of Italians of Štivor, the Alliance of National Minorities of the Republic of Srpska, and also by the Ministry of Education and Culture, which funded the project “Promotion and Safeguarding of the Language of the Italian Ethnic Minority”.
